Today I am going to talk about a trend that has been very popular for the last few years...
First I would like to say that it is my friend's appreciation week, so today was ugly sweater day.. which is always fun and soooo comfy, the only downside is that only three people in the whole school dressed up obviously.. this lead to an unfortunate conversation in band involving Isaiah and Riley being very "interested" in my fabulous choice in clothes, so I had to explain the whole situation. Oh the joys of friend-group dress up days.
Anyhow, here I am rocking my favorite sweater (which was also my pajamas last night haha)
Regardless of embarrassment (as I am a very self-confident person apparently) I ruled it as a successful day, but it really made me wonder: why do people love ugly sweaters?
On sites like Urban Outfitters, you can find numerous styles of dated looking sweaters that our parents would have worn when they were our age such as these two ( click the pictures)On sites such as Tumblr, there is practically an ugly sweater fan club
So, long story short...
buy some ugly sweaters
They are so comfy and warm and they make great pajamas and it's still cute and not as sloppy as a sweatshirt
And... that's it haha
